Art Sung – Alma Mahler is thrilled to be part of the London Song Festival this year.
Going from strength to strength and in its second decade, the Festival gives audiences the opportunity to hear young up-and-coming singers and prize-winners as well as internationally established artists.
This year’s Festival theme, ‘1918 – Forward and Back’ chimes perfectly with Alma Mahler’s reminiscences of her stormy and passionate life.
1918 saw the death of the painter Gustav Klimt, most famous for his painting, ‘The Kiss’. Klimt snatches a kiss from the young naïve Alma in a moonlit room in Genoa and the story unfolds…
